Arden Fair Mall

Arden Fair Mall is a good mall in the Sacramento area for preschoolers.  It's centrally located in Sacramento, and has lots of preschool friendly shops and places for preschoolers to get food.  The disadvantages for preschoolers at Arden Fair Mall are minor. 

Advantages at Arden Fair Mall for Preschoolers

There is a carousel for preschoolers and older children, for a small fee. In addition, there are stroller rentals and lots of places to sit and watch the crowd go by. And don’t forget about the glass elevator in the middle of the mall; a favorite activity for many preschoolers.  

Kids Club

Arden Fair Mall has a Kids Club for children age 2-10. Membership is free and benefits include monthly events and discounts on some stores. For more information, please see the Arden Fair Website.
 
Stores
There are stores catering to preschoolers at Arden Fair Mall such as K B Toys and Pottery Barn for Kids. Walk through Macy’s to get to the Market Square where there are movie theatres and a Barnes and Noble Book Store.
 
Eating
There are also preschooler - friendly eating places such as Cold Stone Ice Cream and Burger King. 

Disadvantages of Arden Fair Mall for Preschoolers

Parking
Parking can be a problem at Arden Fair Mall. In addition, getting into and out of the parking lot can be difficult and time consuming. During peak times, there is free parking at Cal Expo, with a free shuttle to take you back and forth. A shuttle may be a fun option for some preschoolers.   
 
Crowds
Arden Fair Mall becomes very crowded on the weekends, especially during the Holiday Season and the summer months.
 
Healthy Foods
There are few healthy places with food that would tempt most preschoolers.
