Preschool Friendly Restaurants - The Old Spaghetti Factory

The Old Spaghetti Factory is a chain restaurant perfect for families with preschoolers. The Old Spaghetti Factory offers a cheap, but filling menu in a fun, historical atmosphere. There is a great kids menu that offers spaghetti, among other entrees, and think about how cute it is to see a three-year old eating spaghetti.

The Food:
The kid’s menu at the Old Spaghetti Factory doesn’t just consist of spaghetti options but there are also grilled cheese sandwiches and chicken tenders. Food comes constantly as soon as you order. When the salads are served, rather than vegetables, your preschooler will get applesauce. With the salads comes French bread. And after the entrée is eaten, you preschooler will get the choice of vanilla ice cream or spumoni.

Coloring Activities:
The children’s menu is printed on a colorable placemat and the host/hostess will quickly supply crayons.

The Restaurant:
The Old Spaghetti Factories in Rancho Cordova and Roseville have train cars to check out, a favorite for some preschoolers.  Some of the Old Spaghetti Factories have old arcade games to distract your preschooler if there is a wait.

Disadvantages to the Old Spaghetti Factory for Preschoolers

A Wait:
There may be a wait if you go on weekend. Be prepared with books for your preschooler, or consider going on a weekday.

The Servers:
Servers are generally busy with their large stations, so drink refills and getting your order placed may take some time.

The Restaurant:
Never allow your preschooler run around the restaurant since the servers move quickly with large trays and often cannot see a preschooler until it’s too late. The Old Spaghetti Factory offers a few booths, but many of the tables are tables, making it hard to corral a wiggly preschooler.
